Some really good news to report about Smith and Locke our two top running backs. Larry Vaught reported this morning on WlAP that Locke and Smith were having their 40 times checked and they were trying to see who was the fastest. It turned out they both ran the 40 yard dash 4 times and both ran it UNDER 4.3 all 4 times.
We have plenty of speed in the backfield!

We'll have a pretty good O-Line, if we can get a little punch from the fullback (Ginter, Conner, etc.) it could only help the Smith/Locke in getting outside, though Locke is really good between the tackles as well and Dixon will be solid in relief. I'm really looking forward to seeing the 2008/09 cats in action.

Max, your right on but unless we have some sort of a passing attack to keep the linebackers and safties honest it will be tough for the speedy backs to find the open running lanes...I am afraid those big old SEC linebackers will be waiting for them if we don't complete some passes...
