That's what coach Ortmeyer thinks and it makes sense.!

UK special teams coach Steve Ortmeyer says field goal kicker Lones Seiber needs to think like a professional golfer when it comes to correcting errors and he says Seiber must focus better during games. The placekicker's job is up for grabs in the wake of Seiber's struggles in the Middle Tennessee game. Ortmeyer thinks Seiber's issues are fixable.

Anyone who's ever stood over a 4-foot putt knowing that a couple bucks or a trophy hangs in the balance can commiserate with Seiber. If you've made a couple of those earlier in the round the hole is the approximate size of a gallon can; missed a few prior and the hole shrinks to a couple of inches. Which proves the golfing axiom: the most important distance in golf is the 6 inches between the ears. Applies equally to placekickers it would seem.

Truer words were never spoken. The hole shrinks with every missed putt. I bet Bayer would confirm that too. [Big Grin]

Seiber was signed to be a kicker so he has the talent. He has kicked 32 field goals and 94 extra points for us for 190 points..He will turn it around.

Another tip that he could learn from golf is to keep your head down and not look where the ball is going....
