Quite disappointed even with a 2 TD lead: No improvement in receivers, minimum improvement with OL, defense after aggressive start became passive and missed tackles and responsibilities, and Joker Phillips play calling is inexplicable with same conservative bent as first game. With the exception of Arkansas I'm not sure Cats can win a game in SEC.

We will end up 4-0 but hate to say it but we are probably the worst 4-0 team in div 1 football.

Bama 24-0 over Dawgs with 6 minutes in first half. Total, out and out domination in every aspect, physically manhandling by both O and D lines. Next Saturday could be embarrassing.

The o-line has been decent so far. The receivers have been poor so far. At least 3 drops I can recall that the ball hit them in the numbers. Cats should have 28 points right now. Hartline can't do everything. Locke has had a good game rushing and the kickoff return was nice.
Defense looks good. I would like to see them keep that running back of Western's in check. I think he had 60 something yards on 3 rushes at one time.

They certainly looked better in the second half - the running game was good. Glad to see Fiddler get a few snaps.
Now to ala - hope we have our defensive guys back - guess cobb will still be out

Spent the 2nd half running the fooball and wearing down the toppers. Fidler got his feet wet and Hartline got to throw a deep ball and though it was incomplete(sideline-end zone to Lyons)..it was a very nice thow. He also had Grinter but I thougt Grinter may have turned up field after being bumped instead of continuing on the course he was on and was at least partly responsible for that incompletion. It was good to see guys like "The turtle, Boyd and Grinter fially get more into the mix though. It appear we may have lost 2 more key contributors and depth is always an issue. (Redshirting C.Johnson will get sticky if we lose another lineman) Kudos to a former student of mine at Indlps. Arlington HS who I thought played very well for the toppers (Marcus Minor) Watching the first half of the Ala-Ga. game made me think of the line from Animal House...."Thank you sir, May I hve another"
4-0 and heading to the big time on national TV.....we'll see!
