Comparing mano a mano, player to player, Cats need a Tide letdown to win:

What they need is for 3/4 of the Bama team to go out and get drunk and have to play tomorrows game with a hangover.

Alabama is a different team than whay we saw in the early 2000-2006 time frame. Nick Saban will not let Bama have a letdown today. He is one of the most intense coaches in the game, and he transmits that to his players.

I just hope the Cats can make it respectable. My prediction:

Bama 31-17

I certainly think better of KY football after the Bama game, but I am still not totally convinced. Bama did not play as well as they are capable of, but UK's defense had a lot to do with that. Bama got a break when Hartline handed them a touchdown, and UK got a break once when Bama fumbled deep in our territory; however, that one did not lead to a cheap TD for UK. Bama missing two makeable field goals also helped.

I'm proud of the effort the Cats gave in T-town and hope that can carry over into our next game.

I will be convinced when we beat South Carolina and our lifelong nemesis, Steve Spurrier. I feel our offense has to score more than 20 points to win that game.
