The loss to Vandy will cost us dearly..
Rich Brooks knew long before he watched Vanderbilt's entire team come on the field to huddle together during that Saturday's game was going to be special for the Commodores.
"We have spoiled Vanderbilt's season for two or three years in a row. We talked to our team that they were going to come in with vengeance and desire and we had to match that and we didn't. I obviously didn't get through the cranium, the skull to the brain," said the Kentucky coach. "I think we had some players that talked about it. But when you don't do it, you don't do it."
Kentucky is already bowl eligible and seemingly locked into a bowl berth because of the Southeastern Conference's bowl ties. However, Brooks wants at least a third straight regular season with seven wins and to beat Tennessee to improve his team's mood going into a third straight bowl game.
