I was there for that one. It was a cold, dreary afternoon, except for the great win.

It's not going to be a easy game at all against Tennessee nest week as they go into Nashville and take care of Vandy without much trouble. (20-10)

I remember that game as well. I was 7 years old and it was the first game my dad took me to see.

Brandon, What a great way to begin watching UK Football!, I have really been caught up in UK football the past three years, while being a NUT on Uk basketball all my life, I have really enjoyed UK having such success recently. While we have won 22-games since 2006, we stll have lost several close games against great teams tht we should/could have won. That will be our last hurdle of improvement. This UT game saturday is shaping up as "scary", we need to go in there and take care of business, sadly we are severely handicapped having lost many good players on both sides of the ball that we counted on having.

I was at that game as well. And what a treat to see that highlight film!
It was especially nice to see the old Wide Tackle Six defense in action: much maligned, but darn effective. Did you see how they swarmed to the ball? The penetration it achieved into the backfield? The number of turnovers forced (at least four fumbles recovered and a brace of interceptions as well).
Offensively, three things stood out:
(1) The effectiveness of running outside. (2) The value of a quarterback who can put the ball on a rope with accuracy. Those passes were picture-perfect! (3) The stange-but-true concept of gaining extra yards after the reception. UK played inspired ball that afternoon.
Ah, the memories!

And that was a 2-8 team that beat UT.

The 81 team looked awesome - 2-8 hard to believe.
I did however observe why we may be losing some games this year.
- Randell Cobb ( #18) was playing defense on that team and - Dixon (28) was at running back.
I have to believe that at their age now they have to had to lose a step or two!
