Andre Woodson is true Kentucky boy that loves and dies his cats!
Question One: Did you stay in touch with any of the UK guys who were also NFL rookies last year?
Woodson: “Oh yeah. Keenan (Burton), Stevie (Johnson), Wes (Woodyard), I talk to them a lot. I just got back in touch with (Rafael) Little. I haven’t got (Jacob) Tamme’s number.”
Question Two: Were you able to follow last year’s UK team?
Woodson: “Yeah, I watched every game that was on (TV). I talked a little (around the Giants locker room) when they won.”
Question Three: Mike Hartline mentioned at one point last season that he talked to you and you told him he needed to keep his head up, that his first year as UK’s starting quarterback wasn’t that different than yours in 2005?
Woodson: “I talked to Mike Hartline and (Randall) Cobb all the time. I tried to keep them positive. I know for Mike, it was kind of like my sophomore year. Kind of difficult.”
Question Four: What did you think of Hartline’s play in 2008?
Woodson: “I felt bad for him, especially after Dicky (Lyons Jr.) and Demoreo (Ford) got hurt. Then he had no experienced receivers. Everybody they were using were basically rookie receivers, first-year guys. That put a lot of pressure on Mike. Cobb, when he was in, he could generate his own run game. Cobb’s an excellent runner. Mike’s like me, he’s dependent on the receivers to help make plays. Without Dicky and Demoreo, that made it tough.”
Question Five: What about Hartline going into his junior year?
Woodson: “I think next year we’ll have more receivers to help him out. The junior-college guy we signed (Chris Matthews) should really help. Cobb is an excellent receiver and having him back there should really help Mike out. In the bowl game, I thought our young receivers started to get it. With better receivers, I think Mike will be able to take a good step up. “

Is Cobb not expected to have a shot at starting next year?

ACF, from what i have read, no he won't.. They have two very, very good freshman coming in and have Hartline and Fidler plus the fact that Cobb is really needed as a receiver.
