I can see one of them being a red-shirt but not both of them but we will just have to wait and see.

The big news today was pigskin related: After today’s practice and end of training camp, Coach Rich “Paw-Paw” Brooks told reporters that it is “not out of the realm of possibility” that at least one and possibly both freshmen QBs Morgan Newton and Ryan Mossokowski would be redshirted this season. Brooks also announced that junior QB Will Fidler has earned the #2 quarterback position.

I'd be surprised if both were redshirted. But one is definitely a possibility.

This is how big time programs become big time programs. Getting talent, stockpiling it and never missing a beat when one class graduates and another comes in. My only reservation is that I'm not sure we have reached the point where we can consistently convince top flight talent to come in and be red-shirted in order to further the interests of the program down the line. I hope so because I want us to become a big time program.
