We have to win at least 3 SEC games to play in a decent bowl game and your right MH a victory over SC and Tennessee would be very big..

If UK beats the teams that they are supposed to beat:
Miami of Ohio, UL, Louisiana Monroe, Miss State, EKU, and Vandy...
they go 6-6
MIss State and Vandy are not guaranteed. They could lose either one or both if they play poorly.
If UK beats those 6 and upsets USC and UT, they will have stepped into the upper tier of the SEC. It still won't mean that they are an upper tier team, because they would have to do that for 3 or more seasons.

Like most fans, I am happy with the progress of the UK team over the last few years. Going to and winning 3 straight bowl games is exactly what this program needed. I think the program is making progress the right way in that they are just taking a little bit more every season. I think the next step is to make a New Years Day bowl game and win that and to start beating the South Carolina and Tennessee teams consistently. UK has pulled off some major wins the past few years with the victory over #1 ranked LSU a couple of years ago being a huge step forward. USC and UT have been the thorns in our side for years now and it's time we put those issues to rest by beating those teams and putting ourselves in the top tier of the conference. We're not the caliber of Florida yet...but then again, who is... but we are making real progress and if UK can make a Cotton Bowl or Outback Bowl and win, it will go a long way to getting the program into the top tier programs in the SEC.
