Randall Cobb’s leaping touchdown grab with 4 minutes, 28 seconds to play set the final score — UK 31, U of L 27, and gave the Cats another of their trademark come-from-behind wins.
“Everything swung towards us (after Guy’s fumble),” tailback Alfonso Smith said. “It got the crowd back in the game, it got the players back in the game.”

A win is a win. The two juco's Evans and Matthews
are very good ball players. We are lucky to have
quick help at their positions.

We are going to need a whole lot more help at a lot of positions if we are going to get off the 6-6 record I predicted earlier. The win is just one of the wins I saw us getting, and it almost turned into a loss and a 5-7 season and no bowl future. We've got to get a whole lot better or have a lot more luck than our SEC opponents. Hope this in state rivalry was just that and we can play a lot better against the SEC. Florida could beat us by 30 points if we don't play better.

Bama Cat, Florida WILL beat us by 30+ points if we don't do something about our D.

There is nothing wrong with the D in general. One DE played like crap, going too far inside on a bunch of plays, allowing for big gains around the outside.

As far as UL scoring on the Cats, that is mostly the fault of the O, having 3 turnovers in a row, keeping the D on the field the majority of the 3rd quarter.
