One of Cats most sought after players, Columbus, OH DE Derrick Bryant committed to UCLA during weekend visit. I'm becoming a tad concerned as higher-ranked prospects continue to make other choices. The record of ever-improving recruiting classes may be in jeopardy.

I'm afraid we may have reached a plateau at which we will stay, until we begin to win games we are not expected to win. Coach Brooks and his staff have now moved us from a program which sometimes won the games it was supposed to win, to one which wins the games it's supposed to win. The next step is to begin to win games (emphasis on games not game) each season we are not supposed to win. When we do that consistently, then we may begin to consistently get higher ranked players. But, at this point, as I said, I fear we have reached a plateau. Will we be able to take the next step?

I don't understand UCLA. Maybe the kid just wanted to experience the west coast.
