I think we are seeing some of that this season with Mike Hartline. Through two games, Hartline has been more than solid and has looked like a different QB on the field. During the Miami game, he played almost flawlessly, making plays that we havent seen him make and throws that were nearly perfect. Similarly, against Louisville, he took the Cats on not one, but two, comeback drives and was 20-27 for the day, making some very impressive throws. He had one INT that may or may not have been his fault, but otherwise had another solid day, and helped the Cats reach 2-0.

The INT was disconcerting, because it was bunched together with the other two turn overs. The fumble was worse and more avoidable, imho.
Having Hartline run the option was as suprising as it was disasterous. I blame the fumble on the coaches using him in that fashion as much as the player doing the fumbling. I hope they keep him as a drop back passer and a part time scrambler and leave the option to one of the other QBs.
