R. Cobb, Conner are Game Captains: Senior fullback John Conner and sophomore wide receiver Randall Cobb are the game captains for this week's contest at Auburn, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.
Game captains are usually chosen on the basis of performance in the previous game. Cobb totaled 229 all-purpose yards against South Carolina last Saturday, including a rushing touchdown and receiving TD. This is the second-consecutive week that he has earned the game-captain nod. Conner rushed three times for eight yards against the Gamecocks and had an excellent game as a blocker.
Cobb and Conner will join permanent captains Zipp Duncan and Corey Peters at the pregame coin toss.
