Where were they? Seems like none of them ever made a tackle against Miss St.
Miss State's O-line manhandled us.

When Miss State came in in that 3 wide set and forced us into playing 4 down and two backers with basically a nickel package the whole day, it put our backers in a tough spot. There were only two on the field all day and they were mostly having to cheat back due to the Miss State three wide with no tight end, spread option look. Then you basically had 5 O-linemen manhandling our 4 D-linemen. I thought we should have just started loading up the box, but I guess with the injuries in the defensive backfield, we didn't feel confident enough to do that.

I felt fairly confident that UK wouldn't win over MSU and for the simple reason that Cats' coaching staff - Steve Brown in particular -has never learned and has little chance of stopping a spread formation team (See ULM last week) and especially one that runs the Gator sprea, virtually the same offense of Dan Mullen at Starkville. I commented on another site that the impact of Mullen would be the difference in the game and it surely was.
