The Kentucky football team that Coach Rich Brooks sent out against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday was basically held together with wire and duct tape.
The Cats were already without top running back Derrick Locke, who sat out with torn scar tissue in his surgically repaired left knee. And its top all-purpose threat, Randall Cobb, stayed on the sideline the entire game with a sprained left thumb. Senior cornerback Trevard Lindley also only played parts of the first half upon returning to the lineup after missing four weeks with a high ankle sprain.
