This is as of 6:27 on Sunday December 6th..

We know (unofficially) that Kentucky will be playing in the Music City Bowl on December 27th. What we don’t know is who they will be playing. Clemson leads the rumor mill but that is all speculation. Miami and UNC are in the mix as well. There has been no official announcement from the MCB but it should be coming within the next hour.

Here are some of the bowl games that have been announced so far:

- Independence Bowl - Georgia vs. Texas A&M

- Liberty Bowl - Arkansas vs. East Carolina

- Outback Bowl - Auburn vs. Northwestern

- Gator Bowl - Florida State vs. West Virginia

That's it Ed here is some info..

C.J. Spiller, we meet again. Kentucky will face Clemson in the 2009 Music City Bowl. This year’s matchup is a rematch of the 2006 game, which Kentucky won 28-20. Clemson is this year’s ACC runner up and they find themselves in the lowest possible bowl they could fall to, thanks to the hype surrounding Florida State and Bobby Bowden’s retirement. On the other side, Kentucky ends up in an oh-so familiar spot.

WOW. So the Cats get the second best team in the ACC in the bowl game. Actually, I think they are the best team in the ACC.

While I would have like to have seen UK make a different bowl game, you couldn't ask for a more quality opponent then Clemson. This will be a very tough team for UK to handle to keep their non-conference victory streak alive.

I think so too. Clemson is sort of like a cross between Ole Miss and Tennessee. They have a great running back in C.J. Spiller who is First Team All-America. He reminds me a lot of Mark Ingram at Alabama.

Clemson tens to give up quite a few sacks and their passing game is about average. The running game is their bread and butter. Kentucky should be able to get pressure on Clemson's QB and on offense, UK should be able to protect Newton pretty well.

This game may come down to turnovers and lost opportunities. This should be a good game that might be decided in the last few minutes.
