Take it for what it's worth but The Tennessean says:

Mh, here is some history on the Collingsworth family for you.
Austin’s father, as most know, is Cris Collinsworth, the former Bengal great and the man who replaced John Madden on “Sunday Night Football.”
Austin’s grandfather is Lincoln Collinsworth, who played on UK’s 1958 championship basketball team after starring for Salyersville. Lincoln’s father, Austin’s great-grandfather, owned a grocery store where the new South Ashland Fire Station is located and Lincoln’s brothers, William McKinley Collinsworth and Alex Collinsworth, lived here and worked at Armco.
Cris Collinsworth, who lives in northern Kentucky, has some other Kentucky ties, having married a former UK cheerleader (Austin’s mother).
Kentucky tried to recruit Collinsworth to play basketball and Bear Bryant wanted him to play football at Alabama. Cris, who was a Class 3A 100-yard dash champion in high school at Astronaut High School in Titusville, Fla., started out as a quarterback for the Gators but was moved to wide receiver where he became an All-American.

Holly Collingsworth is Austin's mom, and yes she was a cheerleader at Ky.
