University of Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich said Saturday night that he would not be surprised if his new football coach, Charlie Strong, is on the short list of candidates to replace Urban Meyer at Florida.
However, Jurich said U of L would do “everything in our power” to keep Strong if Florida comes calling.

Personally, with the troubles on the horizon for Southern Cal, a less than par season for the Trojans, and Pete Carroll shopping around NFL offers......
I would not be surprised at all to see Florida match anything the NFL might offer, just to maintain the name/face recognition for recruiting.....
With the success Carroll has had, for Florida that would be to their football program like Coach Cal was for our program. Write It Down. [ 12-27-2009, 12:23 PM: Message edited by: FlaCatz ]

Los Angeles or another major NFL city vs. Gainesville. Having been to Gainesville once, my money is on anything but Gainesville.
