He will be leaving the University of Minnesota and coming back to his home town of Lexington to play for the Cats. He will be elgible to play in 2010.
“Terrell Combs has decided to transfer,” Minnesota head football coach Tim Brewster said. “We wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Combs earned playing time as a reserve defensive lineman in three games against Montana State, Florida Atlantic and Ohio State.
Combs attended Bryan Station High School along with Gopher teammate D.L. Wilhite and helped lead the Defenders to a berth in the 2007 Kentucky Class 5A state playoffs. Combs had 45 receptions for 876 yards and 15 touchdowns at wide receiver and finished the season with 1,197 all-purpose yards as a senior. He also punted and averaged over 40 yards per kick. Combs earned honorable mention all-state honors from the Louisville Courier Journal as a wide receiver and was named first team All-Fayette County at wide receiver by the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Blue he was a 3 star but had some good offers but went to Minnesota. He was 6'2" 250 but may have bulked some by now. He can play numerous positions but was listed as a tight end. It will be interesting where he will play for the Cats. I bet he ends up as a defensive player either at end or a linebacker.

It will be interesting to see how he fares at UK as he didn't see a whole lot of playing time for Minnesota.
