If you think about it, it's a good move on his part. No more Florida, Alabama, LSU, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Les Miles, etc every year. The SEC just offered him a little bit too much competition.
IMO he was never an SEC man. He's Hollywood (OK California) through and through and that's where he belongs.
