On the UK side, Mansour handled the kickoff duties, getting touchbacks on three of his five chances. Defensive lineman Donte Rumph, running back Raymond Sanders, linebacker Avery Williamson and tight end Tyler Robinson also got into the game.

Mansour won an award for his kick-offs.

Joe Mansour won the national award for “Best Kickoff Specialist” this past week for his performance against Louisville. I know nothing about this award or what organization would choose to give it. It would sem to need to be an entity that would like to spend their entire Saturday simply watching kickoffs…and not for the runbacks, but just the kicks themselves. Those are obviously hearty souls who have dedication to the kickoff craft and we certainly salute that intricate obsession on one topic. Plus they picked a Cat, and for that we are grateful.
