as expected. 47-3 in the 4th qtr. Not sure if we can really play that well against a team like FL. We will see if the defense is for real next week.

I think the D is improving but I'm concerned about our run coverage and our cornerbacks.
Akron was not a good team to gauge either our D or offense against.
Nevertheless an excellent 2nd half.

Akrons receivers got behind def. secondary with ease, scares me going into league play. sec receivers won't drop balls when their that wide open

Thank goodness the receivers couldn't catch or this would have been a different game. UF isn't as good as usual, but we'd better tighten up the defensive ship before we head into the swamp.

And the QB's will be much more accurate. The secondary was awful in a game like this.

Also, if UK starts out games like this in the SEC offensively like they did in this one, we'll be looking at two touchdown deficits by the first quarter.

Akron was not a good tuneup for Florida. I was impressed with some of our running game in the 2nd half with Cobb out. But it was against a worn down defense. I hope we'll be a lot sharper against when we get to the swamp.

We weren't mentally sharp last night in the early going. Dropping easy passes, penalties that break the rythm of a drive. Little things. Then Coach Phillips called teh team huddle and we seemed to wake up a little bit!

The sad part was, because to of the TV timeouts, they had ample opportunity to pull it together early, but waited mid-way through the 2nd quarter. Florida will not give them that much time.

If we play the same way against Florida, we will be down 21-0 at the end of the first quarter. Florida will look at the game film of our three victories, and start drawing up a delightful variety of post patterns, fly routes, and deep curls that will twist our DBs around as they watch the Orange-and-blue clad receivers zip past them en route to the end zone...

We may win the ground game (maybe), and might even dominate the time-of-possession, but Florida will score at will against our secondary.
