FL ran the same play 5 times in a row out of the Wildcat and Trey Burton ran it right up the gut for 5 rushing TDs.
Brantley looked like Johnny U. and completed passes up the middle at will. I guess it all starts down in the trenches, and FL's OL dominated.
Our D has got to improve if we're going to win six games this year.

Embarrassed on national TV once again. Way to go Steve Brown.

The offense didn't help them much either. The int for the TD was the worst play of the game.

Trey Burton set the bar for what Randall Cobb should have done.
Locke was totally ineffective, Cobb only marginally so, so the vaunted running game never got going. Hartline looked pretty darn good, and Matthews had a nice game. But our defense was simply unable to deal with the short under routes. Florida played its game to perfection, and their receivers almost always got plenty of yards after the catch.

Tip - have to disagree with you on Harline looking pretty good. All he did was throw short because he couldn't find a receiver. Now a lot to do with his o line but in my view - either of the younger qb's could have done as well. As long as we play "not to lose" we will never beat the better teams. If we are doing that then either Newton/Moss could do the same and be much better prepared for next year.

I would like to see Joker go out and get a new D coordinator. The D was terrible and I fully expected the O to put numbers on the board. Spurrier has no problems with yanking out a QB and trying another in any game. Personally, I would have used Cobb out of the shotgun....anything to stop the bleeding. After the int for 6, I would have used another QB.

Tip,
Locke was ineffective? He had 103 yards rushing with a 4.5 yard/rush average. I think Locke has a really good game against a top 10 team. Apparently, we moved the ball, but couldn't stick it in the endzone. On the flip side, we couldn't stop them at any point.

Ga Cat, your right Locke was about the only UK bright spot along with Chris Mathhews.

Locke rushed for more than a 100 yards for the 4th straight game and is the first one to do that since Artrose Pinner in 2002.
Locke now has rushed for 2,206 yards and is in 6th place on the all time UK rushing list.

I felt sorry for the players in this game. This coaching staff does not know how to prepare a team for a up and coming game. this is typical of JOKER'S style of play. The players said themselves that they were not prepared for Fla.

Ga Cat, CMD,
I only caught the 3rd and 4th quarters on the radio. Yes, Locke racked up yardage, but when it counted, when the drive was in need of a solid running play, he often ended up with little or no gain. I think I heard that he had about 70 yards when I tuned in, so he gained about 30 yards when I was listening.
Of course, Florida was keying on him, and with the quickness that Florida had on the line, he really couldn't get much of a seam. So, while 100+ yards sounds great, UK still only scored 2 TDs, hence my disappointment.
