If we played like we did in the second half we would win a lot of games. Hopefully we learned something and it shows up in our next game. It may be though as we play South Carolina and they may be the elite team in the SEC.
Steve Brown’s unit responded to giving up 31 first half points by allowing only two field goals in the final 30 minutes. On the offensive side of the ball, Cobb’s four scores came from passing, receiving and rushing, but Mike Hartline also put together a nice game, completing 23 of 28 for 221 yards and a touchdown. It was a game full of emotional highs and, ultimately, an incredible emotional low. Joker Phillips’ team fought hard to come back from a remarkable deficit and just couldn’t make the stops on the final drive to finish the game. But, the SEC is no place for pity and the Cats will have to move past this heartbreaker quickly as South Carolina, fresh off an upset of Alabama, is up next week.

I know I said before the season if we could have a 6-6 season we would be doing good. And then thought we could do better after we won the first 3 games. And then waffled again after losing to FL and MS.
Time to waffle again. If we could play all the time like the second half yesterday we could finish 5-1. But will it happen? I doubt it very much. More than likely if we can salvage 3-3 we will be doing good.
It's a shame you can't win more when you should. [ 10-10-2010, 11:54 AM: Message edited by: Bama Cat ]

The defense definitely played better in the 2nd half, but that last drive was a typical Steve Brown UK defense.

Bama's 5-1 finish puts us at 8-4 and a possible Outback Bowl. I can see a 6-0 finish beginning with an upset of South Carolina which surely comes to town with the "big head" after upsetting Alabama. Snapping two of the three strings and going 9-3, making a lot bigger bowl appearance ten the last four years would spell a great season. Auburn possibly was the best team on the schedule all season. Newton is a solid All-American and we won't face anyone in his league the rest of the way.

Spurrier has a hate for Kentucky that runs real deep. He will have his team ready to play and if we beat them it won't be because his team is over-looking us.

I wish we could put a complete game together, off. def. and special teams. It seems like every week we hear the announcers say the other team just set an all time record, weather it be for td's, yd's or in auburns case a 19 play drive. Steve brown has had 8 years and were no better now than we where befor he got here. not one time did we blitz on that final drive. He just stands there like a deer in the headlights.I know this sounds harsh but hes got to go.
