I never seen a man more in need of super-sized helping humble pie than Mr. Spurrier...

Spurrier is a great coach. That is why it is a good feeling to see UK finally stop the 17 game Spurrier dominance over them. By the way, I don't think he needs to be humble, with the success that he has had.

Spurrier had not had very much success as a football coach since he left the Florida Gators. His record over the past three years at SC is not as good as that of Coach Brooks in his last three years at UK. Spurrier's better days as a football coach are well behind him. The people over here in South Carolina want to get rid of him as their coach. I interact with a lot of them every day and he is not that highly regarded here in the Palmetto State, either as a person or as a football coach.

His team beat the #1 team in the nation, last week. I bet their wasn't any rumblings then. Of course, this week may be another matter.
