How did he do?

I was mildly disappointed in this years team. I thought we blew a couple of games and should have won at least one more game, maybe two.
But I'll give Coach a pass on this one and see if we can improve in his second year. GO BIG BLUE!!

I predicted 6-6 would be a good season. So.....here we are. We could have won a couple more if the defense had played a little better. We could have pulled the upset of the year in beating Auburn who is undefeated. That was the start of our downfall. Who knows what may have happened if we take that one.

I still can't get on the same page of Joker's playbook. I think that we have some good talent, I just can't stand Joker's (or whoever calls the offensive plays) playcalling.

They did about as good as they could with the talent they had. It's tough to recruit in the SEC as there are so many good teams and so few good athletes that come out of the state of Kentucky. Hopefully Tee Martin can help change that as he already has seemed to make a differance.

I really think Rich Brooks would have been at least 8-4 with this team.

I, personally, think that Rich Brooks would have won 8 games with this team, especially by keeping the old special teams coach. That being said, Joker made the coaching changes for the long term goal of getting better recruits. So, I understand and agree with what he did. But, he has to raise the level of special teams play.

My biggest complaint against Joker is that he doesn't give a QB that is having a bad night the hook and let somebody else have a chance to perform. Not only was the starting QB responsible for the fumble that turned the whole game around against UT, but also killed drives with his inaccuracy. That was blatent poor in game coaching by Joker and he needs to step up his performance, if he wants to win more games.

I may be wrong but I felt Joker did a very poor job this year. The SEC east was the weakest it has been in years and the Cats should have been able to beat Tenn, Ga and Florida. I don't see Joker as UK's head coach for an extended period of time. I want him to be successful but just do not feel he is head coaching material.

Ray, Your exactly right here. I think he grossly underachieved. Punting the ball with seven mins. left in the fourth quarter when you desperately need to score on a fourth and two at the UT thirty-seven yard line was unexcusable. For a man who boasted how he wants to play aggressive
with his operation win, he was clearly out to lunch on this call when we needed it the most.
I just read where Donald Russell is quitting the team and that dosen't help either.
