It sure beats not being in a bowl game.
As for the Bowl game, the signs continue to point to UK ending up in Birmingham to play a Big East team. With the Boise State loss, it looks certain that the SEC will get two in the BCS, either Auburn/Arkansas or South Carolina/Auburn. That leaves a slot for UK in the SEC order and it is Legion Field in January for an odd game. The likely opponent will be South Florida, who just beat Miami and is actually playing fairly well. There is still a chance Pitt could fall into the slot and if something crazy happens, Louisville may move up. But for now, the smart money is on Birmingham and Skip Holtz’s South Florida team….in one of the last bowl games of the year, after all but the Sugar and National Championship.

Catmandoo, I think it will most likely be Pitt. A slight chance we could meet UCONN. I like our chances, the Big East stink! LOL

I'm not so sure about that anymore. I think that this team, maybe even the coaching staff, has accepted this and has become complacent.

My feeling is we have peaked. This is all the better we are going to get with the players we recruit.

We have had only 10 winning seasons in the last 50 years and most of those were barely winning seasons so it's real hard to see us ever being a true powerhouse. I would bet we haven't had 6 seasons in the last 50 years where we had a winning record in the SEC so why is it we are "now" complaining even when we get a bowl bid?
Knute Rockne could come back to life and coach the Cats and would have a tough time winning in the SEC..

I don't see it that way. My personal feelings is that the special teams regressed, with the coaching changes, but the recruiting is geting better. I really think that Joker should go out and get a new DC. Also, I am glad that the a particular QB is graduating. He was the root cause of the fumble and the sputtering of the offense. Had he played like a 5th yr senior, UK would have scored more and UT less, giving the Cats a win.
It all goes back to a certain QB getting in trouble with the law and not telling his coaches when it happened, resulting in him being kicked off the team. If that event neve took place, the Cats would have a few more victories over the last few seasons.

You're probably right about the quarterback situation. They have suppsedly a couple good ones coming back next year. We'll see what happens. The news is saying now it's time for Joker to hit the recruiting trail. Uhhhhhhhhhh.... I thought I read where we already have 23 of the 25 spots filled for next year. If that's right do we have a bunch of guys comitted that have those stars after there name? If not we will be lucky to break even next year. I may be wrong but I expect the record to be worse next year. My biggest question is how did we beat the #1 team in the east division and almost beat the #1 team in the country. Very tough to figure out.
