Listening to the remarks from the press conference about contact with him about 3 weeks ago, this deal could have been completed almost just after Joker was fired. And to think about all the speculation that went on about who might and might not be selected?

Stoops was hired nearly a week and people were saying he wasn't coming to UK. Some people just have bad sources

More smoke coming that UK has in fact hired Bobby Petrino, Mitch did not want to hire him but BOT and Boosters put too much pressure on him. Sunday or Monday may come out to being official. quote by ukfan_22

that was a rumor spreading on twitter, I personally didn't believe it. I knew Mitch wanted a defensive mind and someone with integrity. I was just posting that to keep everyone updated on the rumor.

Also on that rumor I am not sure you know who the Greer's are but they Major Boosters and the son posted on his facebook wall that Petrino was going to be the coach. When Stoops contacted UK about the job is when the report came out of him being interviewed a week later. I talked to my sources and they confirmed he was legit interested in this job and there was mutual interest between him and BOT and Mitch. I can't go into specifics who my sources are but I know many people who are well connected in Football and Basketball side.
