It's going to be tough to pick one out. Whitlow, Smith and my favorite Towles are all possibilities.
Following practice, Coach Stoops described it as a real 3-way battle for the QB position and the coaching staff’s actions reflected that. They weren’t afraid to yank any of the quarterbacks out from behind center if they messed up a pre-snap read or play call and replace them with another red jersey, signifying that no one has a real advantage right now.
Despite the ongoing QB competition, I believe that Max Smith eventually wins out going forward and will be the Wildcat’s starter in the fall. He was producing some solid numbers last year before getting hurt and that experience could be the deciding factor if a decision hasn’t been made closer to the start of the season. Don’t be surprised to see the staff pull out plays designed for Whitlow even if he is not the starter; he is too good of an athlete not to utilize him and when done correctly, it can keep a defense on its heels and guessing. On a side note, Steven Borden, son of wrestling legend Sting, made an outstanding catch in the corner of the end zone today. Sadly, he did not climb the top turnbuckle in celebration. I was disappointed.

I wonder if stings son is gonna paint his face up like his old man used to. That would be cool.
