My wife and I spent the entire Thursday evening watching the UK football game. We should have beaten them period. Very frustrating to watch. Hate to be so negative but we have "TERRIBLE" quarterbacks. I've never seen so many overthrown balls in my life. Then the one pass out of about 10 that was decent, the damn receivers couldn't even catch it. And why are we so thin on QBs in the first place when we have plenty backups. Maxwell Smith is so bad he couldn't even play for Campbellsville! Ok enough of my rant. Some of the good things I did see was our running game looks good and our defense played very well and will only get better. I can understand why coach Stoops is frustrated.

bluehoot, I was at the game and was just as frustrated as you. That was painful to watch knowing we had A team that could have won if we would of just had any decent Qb play. [Frown]

Absolutely, Just give us a mediocre QB and we would have our first SEC win. Drives me crazy!

rlt, what did you think of our defense? They gave up 447 yards to Mississippi State that is a lot of yards but nobody has ever has posted anything about our defense however the qb's in particular have been racked over the coals most every game which is probably warranted at times but why does the defense ever get mentioned? In fact the defense has averaged giving up 438 per our 7 games. That is a "ugly" number and awfully hard to overcome and win games no matter if we had Peyton Manning playing for us.

We were 19-35 in passing against Mississippi State not great but not bad enough to beat us if we had played better defense....

The defense is playing hard, but it's frustrating watching them get no pressure on the qb most of the night and the draw play by the miss st. qb which got them numerous first downs, everyone in the stadium knew it was coming and we still couldn't stop them.It seemed like players where playing out of position a lot last night, it seemed like they where confused a lot.

3rd downs killed us all night we where 4 for 18 on third downs and they where 10 for 18 on third downs. We couldn't get any and we couldn't stop them.

Like I am saying our defense is not stopping any of the teams we have played other than Miami of Ohio and they are pathetic.

10-18 third down conversions is a whole lot better than our 4-18 third down conversions and yet we still had a shot of winning right up to the end. A few more defensive stoops and we win.

Not saying our QB's aren't to blame sometimes but our receivers aren't helping them out a lot either. Good receivers can make or break quarterbacks.
