Topic: Design for renovated Commonwealth Stadium to be revealed on November 25th

Curious about the design for the new Commonwealth Stadium? Deputy Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy announced on Kentucky Sports Radio this morning that the design for the renovated Commonwealth will be unveiled on November 25th at the Nutter Fieldhouse. Peevy said that the UK athletics staff is planning an event for donors and media to reveal the plans.
Construction is set to begin soon, with a targeted completion date for Phase One set for December 2014. Phase one includes the addition of a new team retail store, the renovation and expansion of the Wildcat Den, an updated President’s Room, Recruiting Room, Locker Room, and Coaches’ Club. Phase two, which will include moving the press box to the top of the stadium, will begin in January 2015, and will be finished by the beginning of the 2015 football season.
