Well, that didn’t take long. FootballScoop.com is reporting that UK offensive coordinator Neal Brown is taking the head coaching job at Troy. They are also reporting that Brown will not take any of the current UK assistants with him.
For those of you upset with the play calling, there is that I guess.

I was reading comments about it over on KSR. Of the 17 comments, 2 guys were defending him.

I have been defending him all year, but today was pitiful play calling the entire game. Not sure if he was scared to call any plays or if the offense messed up the ones he called. Either way, terrible day for the offense. I won't miss him if he does go. [ 11-29-2014, 08:48 PM: Message edited by: EnterpriseCat ]

I thought the play calling on that last drive as the clock was running out was about as bad as I have seen in college football this season.

My question is how can a QB look so promising at the start of the season and fall apart by being so inaccurate and devoid of confidence at the end of the season.
The third string QB for the Cards, who did not receive a scholly offer from the Cats, was 10 times better throwing the ball, even with the int and the fumble. That kid came in like a gunslinger, took charge, and made plays.
UK's QB couldn't even trow a simple 10 yard pass to a wide open TE for a TD, instead opting to throw the ball to the back of the end zone over a players head who was not open. That wasn't bad play calling, it was terrible play by the QB.
They should seriously start the red shirt freshman next season and make this kid a tight end. They could also use him for trick plays. But, he just doesn't have "it" when it comes to playing the most important position.

We took Florida to overtime in the swamp. He played a pretty good game. Not the same QB at the end of the season, in my opinion.
Update: I shouldn't use "we" as I don't play on the team and couldn't have made the team, when I was a young man. I should have said: UK took Florida to OT in the swamp. As lacking as I thought the QB play was, the young man has more talent than most. I still say he would make a better TE. [ 11-30-2014, 01:56 PM: Message edited by: boomdaddy ]

Nebraska just fired Bo Pelini. Maybe Stoops will offer Nebraska's OC, Tim Beck.

I would hate to be the coach at Texas. They got rid of a coach that won a ton of games. I bet they are thinking that they made a mistake.

He is the head coach at Murry State. I think he was QB coach or OC, under MUmme. I believe there was dispute over severence pay, when he was showm the door under the old ahtletic director, when the fired most of Mummes staff. They kept Guy Morris. Just goes to show you how dumb the old AD was. I never liked Morris. Morris left UK, when they refused to match his offer from another school. Morris got fired fairly quick at his new job. And, as good as a hire as the next coach was, they could have hired Spurrier.
If we still had the old ( and in my opinion terrible) AD, Hatcher wouldn't be considered. With the current AD, I see it as a good possibility.
