It's good to hear Barker talk about Harris as he has been there and done that.
One reason I have predicted that Madison Southern standout Damien Harris would go to Kentucky — not Alabama or Ohio State — is because of his relationship with UK freshmen Drew Barker and Matt Elam. Both were as highly recruited as Harris and both had big-time options to go out of state.
Several recruiting analysts are now predicting Harris will pick Alabama based on various sources. However, this Twitter exchange between Barker and Harris is pretty interesting:
Drew: Didn’t choose my school till the night before the announcement. Don’t believe anything until Damien tells us himself.
Damien:I been tryin to tell them Bro.

It would have been great watching these two Kentucky boys in the same backfield but it wasn't meant to be.

Barker himself is having problems getting playing time and has his work cut out for him to get on the field. I do think however he will get his chance.

I think with maturity and strength gained after a red shirt year, Barker will be ready to compete for the spot!

It's a big plus having two talented QB's competing for the job as competition is one heck of a motivator.
