Kentucky women's basketball Matthew Mitchell will perform at Commonwealth Stadium for a pregame concert before the Cats play Louisiana-Lafayette at 7 p.m.

“There will be a lot of dancing, a lot of dancing,” Mitchell said. “More dancing than singing. When you can’t really sing, you’ve got to get pyrotechnics involved, lots of lights, things like that. Turn my mike down, turn the professionals’ up. We know how to do this. Don’t worry.”

Mitchell's group is called “Go Big Blue Band” and will perform before the country music duo Sundy Best takes the stage.

“It’s just something I’ve always loved to do,” Mitchell said. “It’s a lot of fun, and we’re in a position where we can do it now. I’ve got some great guys that are real talented, so it will just be something fun.
