I hope we beat them by 40 points, so bad we even take Towles out of the game.

I can't get happy about a UL loss, when my Cats lost as well.

As far as Kentucky's chance for beating UL, it all hinges on Towles having a good game or a bad game.

If he keeps staring down his receivers, throwing behind, under, and over them, and throwing into triple coverage, UK will lose by 5 to 15 points. The running game, no matter how good will not matter, because they will take their shots with passing game, which is like spinning a roulette wheel at this point.

Louisville have become a mediocre team just like we are now. Who on the schedule can we beat the rest of the season, maybe Vandy, maybe Charlotte but I seriously doubt we can beat any of the other SEC teams we on our schedule.

I agree. Unless Towles has a night where he makes accurate throws the whole game and doesn't throw into triple coverage, Kentucky's only shot at going to a bowl are Vandy, Charlotte, and Louisville.

They should beat Charlotte. Vandy has improved and also beat South Carolina.

Louisville has one of the best offensive coaches in football. If Kentucky goes 3 and out a lot on offense, the Cards will eventually put points on the board.

Special teams have been anytning but special. The punt game has been average to poor. The kick off game is sub par with an injured kicker, shallow kicks and large returns. Nothing so far from the punt return game. The opponents seem to have no trouble kicking the ball in the end zone, the majority of the time, preventing chances for a return.

The Cats are losing the battle of field position on special teams. That means the opponents need fewer yards to score and the Cats seemed to be pinned deep in their own territory, starting each possession.

You never figure your starting kicker will get injured. But, you wouldn't think your punter would go to pieces as well and hurt you. As for punt returns, the staff has decided to keep with the status quo. They seem content to not use it as a weapon.

As for starting an up and down QB, I thought all along that they should have gotten a juco QB. Had they had a running/ throwing QB like a johnny Manziel ( a poor man's Johhny Manziel), they would have gotten that 6th win, last season and went bowling. Not sure if the coaches would have used him though, since they seem to be one QB guy no matter what. Had jalen Whitlow stuck around, maybe he could have sparked the team on occasion at QB, while primarily playing receiver. He will never make the pros as a QB, but had to leave to play the position.

I still think that they will go bowling this season, but if they lose to Vandy, they very well could miss out again.

Boom, Towles has thrown for over 1500 yards and would have thrown for more if he got better pass protection. He still is the 5th best in the SEC. It isn't our offense that is holding us down. It's our defense and it's obvious if you take the time to look at the stats.

Kentucky is ranked 10th in SEC total defense
Kentucky is ranked 8th in SEC passing defense
Kentucky is ranked 11th in SEC rushing defense.

If we can improve our defense you can bet we would win more SEC games.

I am expecting some asst. coaches to be gone at the end of the season, especially if we don't get 2 more wins.

Towles has the strongest throwing arm on the team. It is the decision making that is suspect and that should be a lot sharper at this point in his career.
He may never get there. He may be playing as a senior and still be making the same mistakes that freshman QBs make.

I don't see his accuracy improving either. What good is it to have a cannon if you can't hit your receivers on easy, routine routes. He should be hitting them chest high in stride. He is all over the place.

I don;t think he should be benched, but I do think they should be playing the other QB for a quarter a game.
