With rumors swirling about the future of Georgia coach Mark Richt going into Saturday's game with Georgia, UK coach Mark Stoops doubts that his players know much about any of that.
"It really shouldn’t be any concern of ours. It’s always about, ‘What are we doing?’ or ‘Are we putting our guys in the best position we can to be successful?’ and ‘Are our players doing whatever they can to make sure they’re mentally and physically ready to play?'" Stoops said.
He said he's not sensed any division on his three Kentucky teams.
"If you go back to year one and year two, there’s frustrations, certainly. On our team, since I’ve been here, we’ve played some good defensive games and some good offense and vice versa. We’re always trying to put it together and play the very best we can as a team," Stoops said.
"That’s always our goal. I just talk about it and understand that if you do win on one side or the other, it’ll surely come around the other way sooner or later. Be careful about what you talk about. What we talk about here.”

If you don't get talented players it doesn't matter who your coach is you are not going to win many games.

That's exactly it CMD. You have to recruit talent and lots of it for the SEC. Hopefully Stoops can do that over the next couple of seasons. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
Nothing against coach Stoops but it would be nice to have a high profile coach to draw 4 and 5 star players consistently year after year. I think I'm dreaming now.

WF, You are right but the hard thing we have is that Kentucky football isn't nothing like the basketball team that can recruit most any player in the country. The better coachs know this and stay away coaching Kentucky like it's a plague. To be honest I don't think we can do much better than the coaching staff we have know. It also hurts that we play in the SEC where the teams are so good. There are few answers but many question marks on how to turn the program around.
