Kentucky's game in Nashville is suddenly a must win! Vandy has improved as the season has progressed and the Cats have suddenly turned up stagnant!
Wouldn't be surprised if Vandy isn't a 6 point favorite going into next Saturday's game!

We're going to have to solve Vandy's defense if we want to win next week!

I don't see the special teams becoming special, any time soon. With the offense sputtering, the defense will be on the field all game.

The punting game is horrible. He either kicks a short punt, a long punt with no hang time that leads to big run back, or he will save his best and longest punt to kick it into the end zone for a touch back instead of pinning them behind the 10 yard line.

I hate to say it but my vision of 4 wins this season gets more vivid each week. I just haven't seen him recruit enough of the good guys to turn this team around. Now that we are in the predicament we are in now I would be surprised to see Stoops come out of this on top. I'm getting the feeling that a wholesale replacement will come at the end of this season, if we lose all 3 remaining games, or after or during next season if we don't make a bowl game. Just facing the facts. [Confused]

I am not a highly paid D1 football coach, nor did I stay a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I would have hit the JUco route as hard as I could. That is how Miss State has done it. They were as sorry as we were. Their new coach started during the Joker era and they have given us a beat down ever since.

When the talent level is so depleted (thank you Joker), going the traditional route is way too slow. Stoops won't have all of his own players until year 5. His first class was thrown together last minute. You can't count on a talented team of freshman and sophomores, especially on the O and D lines.

I do not think Stoops will get fired. He will have to produce in year 4 or they may seek to make a change.

in my opinion, if they fail to win 6 games and go to a bowl game, it will be difficult to keep recruiting momentum. They will at the very least win 5, but 5 is not good enough.

I always root and pull for the Cats, but what I see is that execution is getting worse for them, while other teams are improving.

They struggle to make first downs, much less score, They lose the battle of field position the whole game and the opposing teams don't have as far to go to score.

All they need to do is win. Sounds simple, but for Kentucky, it isn't.

I had high hopes for this team at the start of the season. When they got outplayed by Eastern and barely escaped that game with a win, I came back down to reality and saw just how bad this team can play.

Who would want to coach Kentucky? We are lucky to have Stoops but recruiting football players in the SEC is tough and without talent you don't have a shot of ranking in the top half of the SEC.
Lets be honest Kentucky the last time we went to a bowl was with Joker Phillips in 2010. The last time we won a bowl game was with Rich Brooks in 2008.

Here is a trivia question for Cat fans:

When was the last season when we lost fewer than 5 games? The answer is scary......

Joker kicked Hartline off the team and UK lost that bowl game. Joker deserved to get fired. Joker was a terrible head coach.

Anyone so stupid to do what he did deserved exactly what he got.

The fifth-year senior starter was arrested on charges of alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and failure to notify address change to the Department of Transportation at 3 a.m. Friday, according to a police report.

Discipline: According to UK spokesman Tony Neely, Phillips is aware of Hartline’s arrest and will make a decision on disciplinary action at the appropriate time. The Cats practice Saturday afternoon and Phillips is set to address the media following practice, so a decision could come quickly, and it could result in Hartline missing the BBVA Compass Bowl on Jan. 8.

I disagree. Hartline caught a cab home from a bar, he was of legal age. Some crazy chick was waiting at the place that they showed up at and started a fight with his girlfriend. Joker was an idiot for kicking him off the team and he deserved to lose the bowl game. The players and Hartline, however, deserved a chance to win the game. The idiot was joker.

He was so busy womanizing, during his time at Kentucky, when he should have focused on recruiting and coaching.
