He'd already won the Paul Hornung Award, een named First Team All-State by the Courier-Journal and is set to compete at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio Jan. 9.
Friday, Paintsville's Kash Daniel added to his trophy case when he was awarded Kentucky Mr. Football by the Associated Press.
The Kentucky commit accumulated roughly 2,250 total yards and 37 touchdowns from his quarterback position and while totaling 158 total tackles and four fumble recoveries in leading the Tigers to a 13-1 record and a berth in the Class A state semifinals.
Daniel (6-2, 235), who committed to the Mark Stoops and the Wildcats July 4 over offers from the likes of Louisville and South Carolina, is ranked as the No. 98 overall prospect and No. 3 inside linebacker in the country by 247Sports.
He is the first UK commit to take home the award since Fort Thomas Highlands quarterback Patrick Towles in 2011.
