Yahtzee! (Do we still say Yahtzee?) 2017 outside linebacker/athlete Jamin Davis just committed to Kentucky, announcing the news via Twitter:

The 6’3″ 206 lbs. Davis is from Ludowici, Georgia, and visited Kentucky over the weekend for Junior Day, when he picked up an offer. He only other offers are from Georgia State and Tulane, but he’s picked up interest from several major programs, including Louisville, Duke, Tulane, and UMass. There isn’t a ton of recruiting info on him yet, but according to 247 Sports, he runs a 4.7 40-yard dash.

Jamin is the ninth commit in Kentucky’s 2017 class, which currently ranks 10th in the country according to 247 Sports Composite.

Jamin Davis became UK’s ninth football commitment for the class of 2017 on Monday.

Davis — a 6-foot-3, 205-pound prospect from Ludowici, Ga. — attended the Wildcats’ junior day event Saturday and earned a scholarship offer during that visit. UK was the first major program to extend an offer, and the coaching staff is currently recruiting him as an outside linebacker.

He also had early scholarship offers from Georgia State and Tulane. Louisville was among the other programs showing interest in his recruitment.

The major recruiting services have not yet ranked Davis, who joins defensive end James Hudson and defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna as UK’s third defensive commitment for next year.
