Not much else to say.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Seeing this season's defense be one of the weakest that the program has ever seen is mind boggling, when a supposedly "defensive guru" was hired as the head coach.
I had high hopes for the program, before the start of the season.
With the way the defense is playing, I don't know who else they can beat, that is left on the schedule.

Defense is bad, but the offense is putrid. What happened to all those 'playmakers' and the high-scoring Air Raid offense?
Something is stinky about this team. It smells of capitulation and a lack of leadership from the team captains. Yes, the coaching must take the blame, but honestly, these guys are not playing with any heart.
I think Stoops and his company are gone after this season, which is probably not the right move. Financially, it will be a disaster for the Athletic Association, and unless they can land a true up-and-comer, there is no guarantee we will be better off. As others have alluded to, I see a couple of issues that can be corrected, either by Stoops, or, if necessary, by Barnhart. First, fire Elliot. His defenses have been horrible, and replacing him may provide the best bang for the buck we can get. Second, Stoops has to stop trying to call the plays on offense. Gran is a proven coach, and we have the players to succeed on offense, but I often get the impression that Stoops is taking over the play calling and wrecking Gran's scheme.
Stoops needs to let his coordinators manage the game, and he needs to concentrate on managing the program as a whole.
Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe the whole group needs to go. But I see hints of some good coaches, and some good players. But the team, as a whole, is an embarrassment.

I live 45 minutes from Troy's campus. I'm so glad we don't play them this year. We are atrocious!

I think both Stoops and Barnhart, who hired and negotiated the contract, should be replaced.
