Don't know if we could beat any of these teams. Concensus thinks we will play Purdue in the Music city.

Here is another projection where they narrow it down to two possibilities:
the TaxSlayer Bowl is in the pool of six. Because Kentucky played Georgia Tech in the TaxSlayer Bowl last season, that leaves five possible landing spots for the Cats.
•Outback Bowl (Tampa, Fla.) vs. Big Ten on Jan. 1
•Music City Bowl (Nashville, Tenn.) vs. Big Ten/ACC on Dec. 29
•Texas Bowl (Houston) vs. Big 12 on Dec. 27
•Belk Bowl (Charlotte, N.C.) vs. ACC on Dec. 29
•Liberty Bowl (Memphis, Tenn.) vs. Big 12 on Dec. 30
The Outback Bowl, Belk Bowl and Texas Bowl are unlikely. That leaves two legitimate possibilities for Kentucky: Music City Bowl or Liberty Bowl.
Music City Bowl
The trip from Lexington to Nashville is one Kentucky fans are used to. The Music City Bowl likely would attract more Kentucky fans than any other postseason destination could. That makes it a win for both Kentucky and the bowl. The game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 29. It’s the same day as the Kentucky-Louisville basketball game, but there would be time for Cats fans to watch both because the basketball game begins at 1 p.m. ET.
Kentucky athletics director Mitch Barnhart seemed open to the idea of Kentucky playing a bowl game on the same day as the rivalry basketball game.
“There’s 24,000 seats in Rupp Arena, and we’ve got a lot more fans than that,” Barnhart said. “So, we’ll be fine.”

My bet is on the Music City Bowl. When all else fails, send them to Nashville.

I know most fans are disappointed but the players aren't the problem so wherever they go I hope the Big Blue Nation will support them.

I don't see many shelling out a lot of money on a trip and tickets to see a team that gives up a first down on half the plays.

Music City Bowl is probably where they end up playing a big 10 school like Purdue. The faithful Cat fans support their teams trough thick and thin and one bad game isn't going to keep them from watching the Cats play in a bowl game.

Like CMD said, most treat bowl games like a celebration/vacation for a solid season. We played a solid season. just had a couple of disappointing games that should've been wins instead of losses!

Yep, if the folks in Nashville have any say they will want UK with the fan following to come there. The opponent? I also think it will be Purdue. Close enough to bring a bunch of fans also. This match could be the biggest attendance for them.

Nashville has the Cats coming, playing Purdue. It is not much of a surprise and the Cat fans will be there cheering for their Cats. Can't wait.

Northwestern is our opponent

On paper, it looks like Northwestern will kill us. But, that is why they play the game. Hope our Cats can come out victors.

The month between the last game and the bowl will give the Cats time to get heal up a bit. How it will translate on the field is anygody's guess. I do think the QB needed the break from being hit.

I am hoping for the best, but history has shown that this staff doesn't seem to do well with the extra prep time. Ie, last bowl game and all the extra time they had to practice for the opening of this season. This would be a great time for the staff to change that trend.

Boom, from the comments I have seen from Stoops and other coaches, they are focusing on using this extra practice time to bring along the newer players; only the latter part will they focus their reps on the starters and get ready for NW. I guess this is sympomatic of where the program is right now. If we got into the rhythm of going to bowls every year, then maybe this would change and the coaches would be laser-focused on getting a W. But it doesn't seem to be our biggest goal right now.
I think Northwestern will beat us by at least 21 points.

I'LL be attending the music city bowl, along with my family. We really like Nashville and plan on spending a few days up there.

I know nothing about Northwestern other than the fact that they finish middle of the pack in the Big (11) conference every year in football!

They won their last 7 games of the season and lost early in the season to Duke, Penn State and Wisconsin.

With the Cats lack of defense, Snell is going to have to rush for 300 yards and 6 TD’s for the Cats to win. I’ll be pulling hard for them, but I don’t have a lot of hope for a win. Maybe they will shock me and force NW to punt at least once.
