I'm not a Stoops fan and I have been critical of him through the years, but a tip of the cap to him for the job he has done this year.
It's amazing in this day and age to basically roll an offense out there with no threat of really passing the ball and completely dominate and control games.
Very impressive. [ 11-30-2019, 10:51 PM: Message edited by: Trey Ball ]
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I second that. Unbelievable job by the coaching staff this year. Maybe better so than last year!

I’ve said this before. I thought Stoops was a terrible hire. I was wrong. Considering he coached a team without a quarterback, his coaching this year exceeded last year IMO.

I was worried about the secondary before the season began, but our secondary is statistically the best in the SEC. Wow.
The whole coaching staff has done a remarkable job developing talent and adapting the scheme to fit the players. Taylor (?), one of the defensive tackles, is tied in the SEC for sacks. He was a ZERO STAR player out of high school, has no real 'moves' to get past his man, but just bull-rushes and collapses the pocket. Every. Single. Play.
The entire defense this year was amazingly good. But the offense was incredible. EVERYBODY knows that we are going to run the ball, with our QB taking it half the time. Yet, we just crush it. Our average gain per play has increased as the season wore on, despite such a one-dimensional offense. THAT is a testament to Eddie Gran. That guy adapted to adversity, and created a sophisticated, successful offense.
So, yes, hats off to Stoops. But the special award goes to Gran.

Our offensive line is pretty darn good as well. After the snap, our running backs seem to pause for a second or two to allow a hole to open. Then they bust through it!
