If they win 4 they will be lucky. I see next year as a wasted year. because Stoops is not going to make anything better. If they can't get rid of him after next year they might as well terminate the football program and switch to men's volleyball.

I forget who the poster was who I went back and forth with when Stoops was hired. He was like Stoops is going to have us in the BCS games in two years.

I was like Stoops is never going to get UK to the BCS because the SEC is just too damn good. I don't even think he could have gotten UK there with the easy schedule that Texas had this year.

Stoops has done about what I thought he would do, but he is just not that great of a coach in my opinion. No creativity on offense and WAY TOO many stupid penalties on both sides of the ball year in and year out and too many blown assignments on defense.

His teams have always played hard I believe until this year and I feel like both the team and Stoops himself gave up.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

So you think in 3 years that UK football is going to play in a BCS Bowl game? That is what Strong has done at Louisville.

You name the bet and I will take it. I will even give you an additional two years to give them 5 years to make a BCS Bowl. In my mind there is about a 0.0000000000001% chance of that happening with UK playing in the SEC.

Stoops is a tremendous hire for UK and will get UK football back to completing 7-5 and 8-4 type of seasons and even pull an occassional upset like the Rich Brooks teams did, but they just will not have the depth to compete game in and game out for an entire SEC schedule.

There is a lot of dissatisfaction with Stoops, which I tried to stay away from until this season.

This team really did just mail it after beating Old Miss. Very sloppy, inprecise play, no discipline, and clearly at the very end, no desire.

That is all on Stoops. Now that he has lost his best recruiter to North Carolina, I think his future is very dim indeed.

The easiest solution would have been the Tubby/Calipari route, if Stoops had taken the A&M job. But, that didn't happen, and now Barnhart has to make the tough call. From my perspective, the call is to buy out his contract and send him packing.

Tip,

Yeah. Mitch really screwed the pooch when he renegotiated Stoops contract to pay him $9 Million per year making him the 9th highest paid NCAA Football Coach in America for basically going 8-4 most seasons.

If you are going to pay a coach that amount of money at UK he better have proved that he could win the Conference every once in a while and be in the conversation to compete to win it every single year not finish between 7th and 11th every year.

Barnhart needs to go if he does another stupid contract. The 1 with Cal and 1 with Stoops. Just brain dead moves. We lucked out with Cal or we'd be stuck with him for another few years.

He should have fired Stoops at the end of the season. Now Stoops will bring the program further down next year, and who knows if he'll get fired next year. My worst fear is that somehow we win 7 games next year and Barnhart thinks Stoops is turning it around. I don't think that will happen, but the guy should be out of here, or he should at least go the Norvell/Harbaugh route and give some of his overinflated salary to the NIL so that we can get players. He has to be the most over paid coach in the history of the NCAA.
